The Cons:Trouble finding an IP address from upstream DNS servers (power the modem THEN the router). No gigabit ports (only 10/100). Flimsy plastic.
The Buffalo WHR-G125 is a value-priced 802.11g router supporting 125* High Speed Mode wireless standard. The 125* mode (aka SpeedBooster) claims to extend the speed of 802.11g by up to 35%, but Broadcom has found that real-world improvement are more in the range of 17%.
This router includes 4 wired ports supporting supporting 10/100 Mbps transfer speeds. The WHR-G125 is a great value at around $45 bucks. It was released in May 2007 and along with its 802.11n big-brother, the Buffalo WZR2-G300N.
