In addition to being fast, the MBR1000 includes 3G failover for continuous, always-available connectivity. In the case of a primary ISP service error, the MBR1000 automatically switches from wired to wireless to ensure users stay connected. Most notable about the MBR1000 is its WiPipe technology, which delivers features typically inherent to enterprise-level routers, such as load balancing and SNMP. Additional features of the MBR1000 include VPN pass-through (multiple/concurrent), WEP/WPA(2) encryption, and an enterprise-level firewall. The Cradlepoint MBR1000 retails for $249.99 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
