The Linksys BEFVP41 is a basic 4-Port Wireless-B Broadband router with four 10/100 RJ-45 switched ports, one 10/100 RJ-45 Internet port, and wireless communications. Designed for low-level operations, the BEFVP41 does not include the more refined WPA and WPA2 algorithms, but does provide for WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) with 64- and 128-bit encryption.

In addition, the BEFVP41’s included firmware includes such basic features as DHCP, port forwarding, filtering, static/dynamic routing, and security logging. Firmware updates can be downloaded for Stateful Packet Inspection, Port Triggering, and also MTU settings. The Linksys BEFVP41 retails for $59.99 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
