The Linksys E3200 is a high performance dual band network router that provides wireless connection to computers, gaming consoles, internet-ready TVs, and other wi-fi capable devices. Similar to Linksys' lower end dual band router, the E2500, the E3200 has the improved SpeedBoost technology that helps maintain high speeds across greater distances, and a built-in USB port that allows the addition of a range of devices such as storage and printers.

The home theater inclination of the router utilizes QoS traffic prioritization technology, which gives favor to the delivery of time sensitive internet traffic such as streaming media, downloads, gaming, and VoIP. Gigabit capability allows for 10x faster sharing than standard ethernet connection with other Gigabit-enabled devices such as computers, hard drives, and servers.
