Linksys WRT110
$45.00
Released February, 2008
The Pros:Affordable price. Attractive compared to older style routers. Wireless G and 100Mbit Ethernet is great for the majority of individuals.
The Cons:Lots of people have reported problems with version 1.0.0.4 of the firmware. Have it, and trying to resolve some serious issues. Not sure if its the firmware version or some other problem, but this router drops connection (including wired connections) when new machines join network. No Gigabit or wireless N capabilities is limiting if there will be a large amount of data transfer (such as large files) over the network.

#linksys_wrt110 Version 1.0.0.4 (the only version currently posted on Cisco's site) is highly problematic. I've seen any number of complaints from people whose routers crash as soon as a second computer attempts to get onto the wireless network.
