The WNR3500 uses 128-bit WEP encryption and features a built-in firewall. For added security, Netgear boasts that the WNR3500 also features a double firewall. It automatic features automatic firmware detection, which allows the router to detect and automatically update the router to the latest version. This router also takes advantage of Wireless-N technology, but is also compatible with Wireless-G and –B technologies. With 4 wired Gigabit ports, the Netgear WNR3500 was released January 2008, and retails for $120.
