The ZyXEL MWR222 is a pocket-sized, 802.11n compatible Wi-Fi router designed for portability. This router supports a wired DSL/cable connection, plus mobile 3G/WiMAX broadband connectivity for an always-on, internet connection anywhere.

ZyXEL recommends this device for travelers who frequent hotels, airports or those who spend a significant amount of time traveling in a vehicle. the MWR222 is also ideal for hotspot access at tradeshows, seminars, business demos, camping or other social gatherings. the MWR222 has several fail-safe features. For instance, if the device's hard wired connection fails, the mobile broadband connection will automatically take over. A 2-hour backup battery is also included for when power is interrupted. A bandwidth monitor is built-in, and can send alerts when a quota is reached to help users avoid overage fees.
